He edited Human Resource Management 1990-1999, served on editorial board of 4 Journal and on the Board of Directors for Herman Miller (16 years), has spoken to large audiences in 90 countries; performed workshops for over half of the Fortune 200; coached successful business leaders, and is a Distinguished Fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources. He is known for continually learning, turning complex ideas into simple solutions, and creating real value to those he works with in three fields: Organization, Leadership and Human Resources.

After her Master’s degree in psychology and international business, she first worked as a strategy consultant with focus on mergers, acquisitions and corporate development and then changed her consulting focus to HR on organizational design and HR technologies.

Verena Pausder is one of the best-known faces of the start-up scene in Germany. Dynamic, curious, smart, strong in implementation. She is an expert in digital education, founder of Fox & Sheep and the HABA Digitalwerkstätten. An opinionated woman who gets involved.

In 2016, she was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum. In her eyes, giving children equal access to digital education is one of the core prerequisites for the future viability of our time. To this end, she founded Digitale Bildung für Alle e.V. in 2017. In 2018, she was included in Forbes Europe’s Top 50 Women In Tech list. She gives everything for the future of education. Thus, during the Corona period, she put homeschooling-corona.com online and initiated the largest education hackathon in Germany #wirfürschule. For this, she was honoured by Handelsblatt and BCG as a 2020 thought leader. Her book “Das Neue Land” is a Spiegel bestseller and was awarded the special prize “Entrepreneur Book of the Year” by the Frankfurt Book Fair, Handelsblatt and Goldman Sachs. Verena is also involved in the topic of education on the Innovation Council of Digital State Minister Dorothee Bär and on the university council of CODE University in Berlin. Born in Hamburg in 1979, she lives in Berlin with her husband and three children.

The Corona crisis has given an immense urgency to the need to rethink work. For successful business, we need strategic, creative HR professionals in companies now more than ever, who see themselves not as administrators but as creators. How do we position ourselves in a truly agile way in order to be able to take on the great challenges with all their ambiguity? Which structures, tools, frameworks and processes work in the new home office/hybrid everyday life? How do we effectively strengthen self-efficacy, resilience and autonomy in order to master the shift from a culture of presence to a culture of results? Answering such questions requires courage, self-reflection and inspiration. And what better way to do this than through exchange with others? This is what H.U.G Digital offers us and I am very much looking forward to learning from and with so many colleagues and interested people, making new contacts and collecting ideas. I also find it inspiring that the H.U.G, now in its second digital version, is itself a prime example of perceiving the crisis as an opportunity to courageously test new concepts, learn lessons and constantly develop further.

Anna-Lisa discovered her passion for HR & New Work concepts when she joined the Berlin start-up Blinkist in 2012 and began building up the HR department. Influenced by her part-time work as a systemic mediator and integral business coach, her focus is on making HR work and organizational development holistic, agile, purpose- and value-oriented and on achieving ambitious strategic goals based on employee empowerment and engagement.
Otherwise, she likes to spend her time on yoga mats or sport horses, with good books and inspiring people – currently especially with her husband and her daughter, who was born in March.
